H&M 3 Month Internship Complete
Since completing my 3 month internship at H&M just over 2 weeks ago, I've been reflecting on my progress and how much I've learned whilst being there, as a designer and a person.
As a designer, I've gradually learned to listen to constructive criticism, not just myself but others working around me. From taking notes and listening to what had been said, I found this had helped my technical skills. I've taken new skills away with me, For example; new ways of drawing not only by hand, but by Illustrator; looking at colours and trends in a new way and also saving work differently to get the best quality.
As a person, I have been proud of the journey I have been on and completed. The experience has been inspiring and one to always reflect on. The overall experience, of course had some difficult times, but realising this was a once in a lifetime opportunity that could not be wasted, I knew I had to buckle down. From living in a completely different country and a new way of living, things were bound to be tough.
The whole experience was made a lot easier from working with friendly people. The experience would not have been the same if it was hard to communicate with any work colleagues.
