Employability After Graduating
Over the past couple of weeks, its been very inspiring to see what past students and have gone to achieve. Its getting more daunting as I think of what I will go on to do after graduating. I always ask myself will I start working for someone else, as I see working for myself quite scary. When thinking of working for a company or somebody else, It seems more appealing in terms of gaining more knowledge in the industry.

From working up the ladder in the industry, I was fortunate enough to have won a summer internship at H&M over in Stockholm. This alone will boost my CV, and will already have the experience to work for such a big company. I have tried to ignore the fact that I will have to find employability once I graduate, but from SPD Almuni's visit its made the whole experience very real.
The project we worked alongside with H&M, gave me the experience of what it would be like working for a client. The experience and feedback they gave were very helpful in terms of moving my project forward and future projects.
From what the recent graduates have said, it seems like its a very fast paced work method. I have learnt that careers grow if your determined and willing to put every effort into it. From the graduates that work for themselves to working for a company, I noticed they all had one thing in common.. determination and hungry for success! This is such a positive drive that I will continue to build upon.
I am very excited to develop new skills and working in a professional real world fashion company, and perhaps challenges which may occur along the way, from working in a high pressure environment.
