Still by Anne Gibbs at the Mission Gallery
I visited this exhibition ' The Language of Clay' at the start of term. The gallery is beautifully situated in the Marina, Swansea. It was very inspiring to view an exhibition which was encouraged by found objects, but then she cast in to Bone China. The pastel colours which she used, are inspired by a trip she took to Japan.
Her collection grew on what what she saw or felt. The odd burst of bright green and coral, mixed in with the pastel colour palette, showed me how something that wouldn't normally necessarily fit well together, did with such little objects in such a big spaced room.
This opened up many creative ways of thinking for myself. The exhibition was such an eye opener, with showing how I can be just as creative in my own Collections project. Thinking outside the box, can result in many exciting things and its possible if you have a good work method.
